The 13th “Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices” Workshop
On May 21–22, 2025, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the ISO 17025-certified Biocompatibility Testing Laboratory for Medical Devices, organized a hands-on workshop on medical equipment and devices. The objective was to enhance the capabilities and workforce in the medical device industry sector. The laboratory conducted training sessions focused on Upskilling, Reskilling, and Newskilling under the topic “Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices” for participants from both the public and private sectors.
Workshop on Microbial Culture, Bioburden, and Sterility Test
On May 14–16, 2025, the ISO 17025-certified Biocompatibility Testing Laboratory for Medical Devices organized a training activity focused on medical equipment and devices. The objective was to enhance the capabilities and workforce capacity in the medical device and equipment industry. The laboratory conducted a workshop on the topic of ‘Cell Culture,’ with participants from Honest Medical Asia Co., Ltd.
Laboratory Visitation from Sivastem Co., Ltd.
On May 1, 2025, the Laboratory for Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices, led by Associate Professor Dr. Norased Nasongkla, welcomed visitors from Sivastem Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of medical products under the Hi-Trust™ brand. The visit involved a tour of the laboratory, which is part of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Special Lecture on Medical Device Regulatory and Quality Compliance of Medical Devices
On March 24-25, 2025, at Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok, the ISO:17025-certified Biocompatibility Testing Laboratory for Medical Devices, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norased Nasongkla, is organizing a Special Lecture on Medical Device Regulatory, 510k, Packaging Standards, and Testing in collaboration with invited faculty members from the University of Southern California, USA.

Cell and Microbial Culture Workshop for Health Protection Foundation
On March 12–14, 2024, the ISO:17025-certified Biomedical Device Biocompatibility Testing Laboratory, in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, organized a training event on cell and microbial culture for trainees from the Health Protection Foundation. The laboratory conducted training on the topic "Cell and Microbial Culture Practical Course."

On March 13, 2025, the Laboratory for Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norased Nasongkla, welcomed visitors from SGS (Thailand) Limited. The visiting team included Mr. Rapeepan Jiwanuwong, Business Training Manager, Mr. Teerachai Waiyaoprukchai, Business Manager for Sustainability, and Mr. Sarunpat Suetat, Sales & Marketing Supervisor. The visit took place at the Laboratory for Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.

On February 28, 2025, the Laboratory for Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices welcomed visitors from Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin (RMUTR) for a visit to the Laboratory for Biocompatibility Testing of Medical Devices, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Participation in the exhibition at “Human Interaction for Systematic Innovation” held at Mahidol Sitthakarn, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus
On January 21, 2025, the Laboratory For Biocompatibility Testing Of Medical Devices, led by Associate Professor Norased Nasongkla and his team, participated in the event “Human Interaction for Systematic Innovation.” The event aimed to revolutionize Thai medicine by integrating the Design Thinking process with medical research. It was organized under the management of Mahidol University in collaboration with the Mahidol University Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and held at Mahidol Sitthakarn, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
